The Sword Improv Battle

Welcome to The Sword Improv Battle! A celebration of raw creativity, unchoreographed moves, and boundary-pushing freestyle dance. This competition challenges dancers of all styles and backgrounds to face off in a one-of-a-kind improv battle, where they will use nothing but their instincts, rhythm, and personality to compete. It’s all about the flow, passion, and the connection to the music!

Improv challenge is $30 a dancer. Dancers must sign up at the front desk before Saturday evening competition. The improv challenge will take place on Sunday. 

Important Rules & Guidelines:

No Pre-Choreographed Routines

The battle is all about improvisation and the ability to respond to the moment. Pre-planned choreography is not allowed.

Respectful Competition

This event is about creativity and mutual respect. Keep the atmosphere fun, supportive, and encouraging. Negative behavior or disrespectful conduct will result in disqualification.

Music Genre Variety

Expect to dance to a wide range of musical styles! The DJ or live band will play everything from hip-hop and house to funk, pop, and experimental tracks. Be prepared to flex and adapt.

Attire

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. No props or accessories that could interfere with the dance floor or safety.
